Escape in Powell by Adrian curry
I went to the Coffman-Olentangy liberty game in Powell last night. This was the 2nd meeting with the first one being dominated by Coffman earlier this month. This game would be totally different as this was a nip and tuck game throughout. Coffman held an early 10-6 only to see liberty come back and take the lead thanks to Jordan rich and took an 11-10 lead. Coffman took a 13-11 at the first quarter. The 2nd quarter went back and forth as Coffman struggled from the field and the patriots hit enough timely shots to stay in the game but Coffman was able to rally to grab a 23-20 halftime lead. The 3rd quarter saw the continued struggles of Coffman and the patriots take over the game in a low-scoring defensive battle as they grabbed a 2-point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter at 28-26. The patriots continued to seize the moment and would grab all of the momentum and held a 5-point lead at 34-29 with 3 minutes left. Coffman showed the heart of a champion as they ended the game on a 10-0 run fueled by Cassidy lafler to win the game 39-34. With the win Coffman improved to 13-1 while liberty dropped to 8-6 with the loss.
